In my Doc series my art is an attempt to overcome the inertia of existing traditions of a first generation Korean by moving the interconnected ontological and ethical wheels of history it’s my way to allow my identity and truth to spring forth. These ‘temple-works’, mainly large sheets of Doc paper first join together and simultaneously gather around themself the unity of those paths, micro-paradigms and relations.

The particular browns and similar colours are the colours I associate with my homeland, foremost used to give to things their look, that is my attempt to help establish an historical community’s myself being part of; implicit sense of what things are, and they give to humanity their outlook on themselves, that is, they also help shape an historical community’s implicit sense of what truly matters in life.
